I wanted to create something special for my Mother in Law, Claribel, for Mother's Day. It took several attempts to get what you will see in the photos, but, it was worth it. I love how it turned out. I hope she does too. I cut a piece of 3" x 6" copper and started with a fold down the center, then added two more folds on each side of the center fold. then I folded it crossways three times. Wow lots of flame work on this piece because you have to anneal it after every step. Then I shaped it. I don't have a bracelet mandrel, so this is done by hand and hammer and just eyeballing it. Then I decided to curve the edges up so it would lessen the chance of damaging her skin as she takes it on and off. She is in her 80's, so I know her skin is very delicate. After that, I wire brushed it and then took the torch to it. It took a few times, but I finally got it how I wanted it. When I finished it, I sealed it with a jewelry sealer and Voila!! Here it is, I am quite impressed with myself!! (Hee Hee)
